Welcome to our new Rent-a-Chick program! We currently have 3 hens and 1 rooster that provide us with the most adorable multicolored baby chicks! We will incubate 4 eggs for you (21-day incubation period), and as soon as they hatch you can take them home for one or two weeks with all the supplies included. The hatch rate for eggs is between 75 to 80 percent, which means you'll have 2 to 4 chicks per rental. Now, let's get to the fun part!

Before you book

  • Since the eggs take 20-21 days to incubate, we need that same time of notice or more before your desired pick-up date, so we can collect the eggs in time, hatch them and have them ready. 
  • Make sure to keep all other pets away from the chicks, regardless of how well behaved the pets may be. Designating an "off limits for pets" room for the chicks is a great idea, for example.
  • The chicks will need a heater that we'll provide, so choose a warm draft-free area in the home with a plug nearby.
  • Do as much research as possible online before your pick-up date, and make sure everyone at home is on the same page about the care and handling of the chicks.
  • Normally, a good chick survival rate is about 95%, so rarely, a little one doesn't make it. Even though our chicks survival rate is higher than 95%, we need to keep in mind that at some point there will be a chick that perhaps won't make it. This needs to be considered by parents before booking. A chicks passing is not necessarily anyone's fault, but the course of nature. We hope this never will happen, but as renters, it is something you must keep in mind.

During your booking

  • If there's kids at home, please make sure they have their guardians with them at all times whie handlick the chicks.
  • We recomment everyone sitting criss-crossed to make sure the chicks don't fall.
  • Make sure their food and water is clean and full at all times.
  • Use the extra mats provided to keep their pen clean.
  • Have loads of fun and take lots of pictures!

  • Weekend rental $100 (Pick-up on Friday Night, drop-off on Monday Morning).
  • One Week rental $150 (Pick-up and drop-off on Mondays)
  • Two Week rental $200 (Pick-up and drop-off on Mondays)
